Join us in a conscious exploration of the reality of your body and mind. Learn to be more open to insights through your practice of self-awareness via the simplicity of yogic sleep. Experience two yoga nidra practices focusing on the physical, breath and mental components of the body.

Yoga Nidra is a powerful tool, allowing you to reach into the recesses of your mind, releasing deep inner tension and related belief systems. You are in a state of “conscious sleep”.   You may choose to explore Yoga Nidra for many reasons: deep relaxation, elimination of stress, solving personal problems, resolving or neutralizing trauma, entering deep meditation or assistance in unraveling such questions as Who Am I?

Karin will assist you in the exploration of this form of meditative inquiry. She will guide you through the layers of consciousness and invite you to welcome wholeness. She will discuss the process and offer you tools to take home for your personal practice.

On Friday:
Experience Yoga Nidra
Yoga nidra is a yoga tool that assists us in “consciously sleeping our way to wholeness”. Tonight, Karin will guide us through two yoga nidra experiences and offer insights into why and how “yogic sleep” is so powerful.

On Saturday:
Guiding Yoga Nidra: The First Three Koshas
Would you like to learn the basics of guiding yoga nidra?   Karin is a student of Richard Miller and the iRest program, utilizing Yoga Nidra to gain steadiness of mind and integration of body, mind and Spirit. In this workshop, Karin will offer the foundations on how to lead yoga nidra. She will then offer important cues for the first three koshas: Annamayakosha, Pranamayakosha and Manomayakosha. You will have opportunities to guide yoga nidra for each kosha.

In a subsequent workshop, February 1, 2009, you will learn how to guide yoga nidra for the three levels of the vijnananamayakosha. This October workshop or an equivalent training will be a prerequisite for the February workshop.
